Should i forget the guy that has no gf except work is the reason for asking me for space?

I met my high school clmate again 2 years ago.. We became lovers. At first, he gave his time to me even tho i know how hectic was his schedule in his work. he treated me as a special friend. his clmate in highschool told me beware bec he is playboy. i knew it because he got so many girl friends (one at a time) during our highschool days. im so deeply in love with him right now. he asked to give him space to think over if he still has feelings for me. i gave him space 6 mos ago and his conclusion that he was afraid to love me. two months ago he always promise to go to our house and he did not come. i asked him why, his answers always because of his work, his family activities and last he doesnt like to come. and he is the one who promised to go to our house not me.. i know he is serious before in our relationship but now i know he is not. i gave him all.. love, money, time, etc.. I dont know if i will move on or continue to wait for him after he asked again for another space.
