Has prophet Muhamad ever praised any of his companions?

There's a distinction, the prophet can praise someone because he is the prophet (saw) and acts upon what Allah has told him, and see with his eyes the goodness of his companions (for example the hadith of the angels even being shy infront of Uthman (ra)) there's no contradiction; the prophet (saw) says to give an opinion and not STATE that someone is good when you don't know their intentions, do you understand? I would be ignorant to state to a prophet of god that someone IS good (as a fact) when I do not truely know. So the prophet (saw) says, state it as an opinion NOT a fact because Allah knows and we do not know.
