If a dog swallows or ingests multiple ticks is it possible for them to get diseases if the ticks are infected?

Yes, particularly if you are in the gulf coast area. Keep the dogs inside as much as possible until you treat them and the yard & get rid of the ticks. I also hope they are not living outside, that's wrong.
